Hi Guys!
I'm turning to you with hope to get answer for my question
Me and my father are restoring a 1950 11BL, and we have to replace the sill plates. From the front to the rear.
We've ordered the 3 sections on different occasions.
1. front panel extensions - thse are the very first part of the sill (the steering rack goes through this)
2. middle part of the sill (this is under the doors)
3. the rear end of the sill, which goes to the rear wheel
the front and middle sections are OK, but rear section was sent wrong and now we have 4 middle panels
So my question would be the following:
Could you please tell me the correct part number for the following part of the sill (which is in the red rectangle on the picture below):

Cheers,
Tibi
p.s.: sorry for not writing in french, but I'm Hungarian so I had to find a path between us

Hello !
Nice to see foreign people heren restoring those beautiful cars !
Where did you buy your parts ? I think it would be easier to call your seller and explain him what is the mistake. I'm quite sure he will take back the wrong parts and send you the good ones.
If you need good parts, you can try this site : www.pat2d.com. You can phone or mail him to explain your problem and what you exactly want : he knows very well the parts as well as the car (he has one
) and will sned you what you exactly need.
Welcome on the forum !

Thanks for the fast replies guys! And thanks for the warm welcome!
I've ordered parts from Jose Franssen and from CTA aswell. Tried emailing them but no answer yet :S
Now I have these:
1. http://www.pat2d.com/avant-longeron-gauche.htm 232.406 / 232.407

2. http://www.pat2d.com/bas-caisse-avant-droit.htm 309.698 / 309.699

and I would need this:
http://www.pat2d.com/bas-caisse-arriere-gauche-bl.htm 309.694 / 309.695

I think the catalogue at Jose Franssen shows the wrong part number for the rear section... first I've ordered from then, and received the wrong part, next time I ordered from CTA, but I've cross referenced with Jose Franssen's catalog, so it was the wrong part again.... doh
FAIL
Thanks for the help Guys!

There is no matter with Jose Franssen : he doesn't answer very fast (especially around the week-end when there is a meeting somewhere), but he is very honest and tries to satisfy the customer.
Pat2d is the french seller for CTA's parts. The most important thing for most of us (but not you
) : he speaks french !
Both have excellent parts and are "customer-friendly", I'm sure that your problem will be quickly solved. Don't hesitate to mail him with these three photos, they describe very well your problem, and he will understand.
And now : some extra photosof your car, please !

Welcome Tibi!
I actually came across your restoration a year ago and posted it somewhere on this forum...
I hope you'll find what you're looking for.

Christophe, you can find loads of pics from the car in the link I posted above, but here it is again:
http://www.detailingworld.co.uk/forum/s … p?t=126926

another question... is there a place where I can get a paper cord from? (I'm talking about he paper cord which the carpet nails go into
)
or just email the guys regarding this aswell, and they may have such on shelf?
Hors ligne
I understand that you're looking for the paper cord going around the doors, isn't it ?
If this is what you mean, it is quite difficult to find the "real one" as it was 70 years ago. I think that Pat2D has a good product, but you can also make your own one with kraft paper and white glue

A tous, salut.
Merci d'avance.

Ciao Léonce,
"sill", dans ce cas-là, c'et le bas de caisse.
Sinon c'est aussi le seuil. Même étymologie, de toute évidence!
Ou le rebord...
